Hidden Treasures Bauhaus Dessau
Sebastian Onufszak is an award-winning illustrator, designer and art director based in Augsburg, Germany. After successfully finishing his studies in communication design, the member of the Art Directors Club worked as Creative Director and Art Director for several design and animation studios from 2001 up until 2009. Since 2009, he starting out as a self-employed creative in the fields of print and interactive and motion media. He further lectured on motion graphics and animation at the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg.
His expressive and unique style landed him jobs with popular brands such as Adidas, Mercedes, Samsung, and Karl Lagerfeld, to name a few. Onufszak’s commercial and personal works were featured in numerous design publications and exhibitions worldwide.
Onufszak participated in the Adobe Hidden Treasures: Bauhaus Dessau Campaign last summer, creating exceptional motion artworks using some of the re-discovered and digitally interpreted fonts of former Bauhaus designers. The designs, featuring quotes of famous Bauhaus creatives and drawing inspiration from the unique style of five different Bauhaus artists, were projected onto Europe’s biggest media façade in Hamburg, St. Pauli.
Stephan Bovenschen is a Communication Design student based in Augsburg, Germany. The main focus of his work lies on typography, editorial, and graphic design, but he stays open minded for other aspects in design and arts such as printing techniques, painting, sculpting, 3D, motion graphics or even coding. While most designers argue that they have practiced designing their whole life, Stephan is some kind of career jumper, who started pursuing graphic design and typography a few years ago.
Later this year, Onufszak will be featured in the Adobe Stock #VisualTrendsRemix covering the Adobe Stock Visual Trend “Disruptive Expression”. Defining #VisualTrends for each year, Adobe Stock invites renowned artists to choose one image from the pre-selected Visual Trends Gallery and to come up with their own interpretation of the topic.
