Andy Warhol to Damien Hirst:
The Revolution in Printmaking
Until August 15th, you can still visit Albertina’s collection of printed graphics from icons like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Agnes Martin but also includes pieces by more recent figures who use traditional techniques such as woodcut but also innovative printing technologies.

HochSommer Festival
The contemporary art festival is held from August 4th-15th at locations throughout the southeast of Austria and the adjacent Slovenian region. Bus tours to the various locations can be booked and guarantee a summer escape of unexpected cultural richness.

FINAL SALE – FROM DEPARTMENT STORES’ TO MUSEUM
Berlin’s Buchstabenmuseum is the world’s first museum which collects letterforms from public spaces and exhibits them to archive and present urban history. This exhibition focuses on corporation’s identities which used to be prominent in cities throughout Germany from the 80’s onward, but continue to disappear due to closure.

Sou Fujimoto Architects: Primitive Future – Everything Is Circulating
Visionary architect Sou Fujimoto focuses on the balance of simplicity and complexity, structure and chaos, pushing the boundaries of what is possible with his work. The exhibition at AEDES was organized on the occasion of Fujimoto being awarded AW architect of the year 2023.

dotdotdot Festival
Since 2015, this film festival celebrates short films at a beautiful open air location: the garden of Vienna’s Volkskundemuseum. After the screenings, film talks give room to discussion. It’s pay as you can, every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Comics, Poetry and more
Thessaloniki’s renown MOMus collaborated with the Thessaloniki Comic Convention to create the exhibition „Let every river envy our mouths“, where comic creators, illustrators and graphic designers answer this question in their visual medium. While you’re there, you can check out the various other exhibitions which explore photography, contemporary art experimental art.

10 years Calle Libre festival
For it’s 10th edition, the annual streetart and music festival will run for 10 days, giving you the finest of street art and music. 10 large-scale murals will be created in the 16th district of Vienna. Contributing artists include Frau Isa, Käthe Löffelmann, Luogo Comune and many more.

Architektur.Film.Sommer
On the first three Wednesdays of August, the Architekturzentrum Wien hosts open-air movie nights in their courtyard at MuseumsQuartier. The topic of the 11th edition of the film festival is „Re-Learning“ Architecture. Documentaries, short films and experimental films circling the topic will be screened.

Shayne Oliver – Mall of Anonymous
Artist Shayne Oliver, mostly known for his work in the field of fashion design for brands like Helmut Lang, Diesel or Longchamp, founded Anonymous Club, a creative studio in 2020. The exhibition created at Schinkel Pavillion succeeds Anonymous Club’s first presentation at The Shed in New York.
