Kiki Kogelnik: Now Is the Time

Kiki Kogelnik is one of the most important Austrian-born artists of the 20th century, who lived and worked on an international level. Kogelnik’s playful, colorful, and highly political work ranges from painting, drawing, ceramics and installation to performative practices, and has an astonishing topicality in terms of its subject matter. In spring 2023, the Bank Austria Kunstforum Wien will show the largest solo presentation of this outstanding artist to date.

AyH: a sonic choreography performance

The audience is invited to an embodied concert, which is composed live by Alex Franz Zehetbauer and Christian Schröder. Together they interact with a cast of experimental musical instruments: a hydrophone in the mouth, buckets filled with water and vibrating cock-rings that hang from fishing lines stretched between the walls and the performer’s teeth.

The MEP is proud to present the first retrospective in France dedicated to Zanele Muholi, the internationally renowned South African photographer and activist whose work documents and celebrates the Black LGBTQIA+ community. ON THE ROAD AGAIN

The exhibition On the Road Again presents 24 contemporary art projects from Austria, specially created for 23 cities around the world and brought together in Vienna for a shared final presentation. The idea was to use the cultural network to start new projects around the world. The aim was to gather the broadest possible spectrum of contemporary Austrian art creation, going beyond questions of age or citizenship.
