Together with “OHNE DEN HYPE”, Forward welcomes you inside the mind of creatives, artists and designers! In intimate and personal conversations with Forward-speakers, industry legends and creative shooting stars, the podcast evolves around personal topics – completely without the hype that usually surrounds them. The second edition sees graphic and motion designer Lucas Hesse speaking about finding his own style in a jaded creative world.
Lucas Hesse recently finished his studies but has been doing his very own thing in the field of design for quite some time now – which might be something he learned at a class with the great Eike König at HfG Offenbach. With mixing and melting various disciplines into one another, Lucas Hesse has found a distinctive style.
His designs have a heavy focus on typography and oftentimes he adds movement into his design. It’s exactly this mixture that put him on the international design radar: Lucas has been designing for a range of international brands adding his special creative flavor.
He also publishes the magazine Ruhm & Ego together with his girlfriend Sophia. The two are currently working on the second issue and it seems that the magazine offers Lucas exactly the kind of platform he likes best – a kind of experimental playground.
In this OHNE DEN HYPE episode, Lucas Hesse speaks about his own development, about living and creating in South Korea and about where he’s headed on his creative journey.
