RANDOM STUDIO
DESIGN (NED) Random Studio is an experience design studio based in Amsterdam and Paris, bridging the physical and digital in unexpected ways.
“At Living Lab we look at how the spaces we use, slowly but surely, are changing from static environments towards constantly evolving spaces with which we might develop emotional relationships with. What is our position as artists and designers towards this? And what exactly are the attributes of such ‘living spaces’?”
Roel Wouters, a director, designer, and artist, holds various roles alongside his position at Random’s Living Lab. He is 50% of Maurer Wouters, co-author of the conditional design manifesto (2008) and designing friction (2023), and was a co-founder of interactive design studio Moniker from 2012 to 2023.
