AI doesn't make films – you do. Forward and LTX present the Shortest AI Film Competition – an open call for creatives who believe AI is a medium, not a shortcut. Create a short film with LTX and show us what it looks like when bold ideas, creative thinking and technology work together. You'll get free access to LTX until 28 June and compete for HUGE PRIZES, and a premiere at the Shortest AI Film Festival in Berlin. The tool is the same for everyone – what makes the difference is you.

What you can win
The best films from our official shortlist will be screened at the Shortest AI Film Festival as part of Forward Festival Berlin (27 –28 August) – in front of an international live audience.

Submission Guidelines
Anyone can submit. From anywhere. During the competition, you’ll get free access to the latest version of LTX. Script. Animate. Direct. Edit. All in one place.
Your clip should be:
– Created with LTX
– Up to 60 seconds long
– Post-production/editing is allowed via XML export
– Any language, English subtitles required for non-English films
– File size limit: 1GB
– Final format: .mp4
– Team entries of up to 3 people welcome – just name your collaborators.
What we're looking for
Taste, instinct, originality. Our jury of industry professionals will evaluate submissions based on:
– Creative Style
– Originality
– Storytelling or concept clarity (for non-narrative entries)
No copyright problems, please
Make sure you own or have the rights to everything in your film – including visuals, music, and AI-generated content. Please don’t use real actors, celebrities, or recognizable individuals unless you have their explicit permission. By submitting, you allow us to share and screen your work in the context of the Festival.
