Gavin Strange

Peter Pan of the Design World.

By Day, Gavin is a Senior Designer for the interactive arm of Aardman Animations, which produces Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep amongst others. By night he’s a designer and director going under the alias of JamFactory, indulging in all manners of passion projects. In 2015 he wrote his first book ‘Do Fly’, published by The Do Book Company, and he co-founded the contemporary design store ‘STRANGE’ with his wife Jane. He lives in Bristol with Jane, his son Sullivan and their greyhound Peggy.

His talks are fast, fun and filled with GIFs. Gavin takes pride in being a realistic idealist, sharing stories and tips on how to be the best creative you can be, set against the backdrop of his own work as a designer in the UK, all whilst acknowledging the barriers and blockades that can often stop us in our tracks. Gavin brings his energy to the stage in a bid to implore the audience, to find their passions and do the kind of work they want to do.

Gavin will speak at the Forward Festival Berlin in August. Next to him, you will be able to hear Creatives like Viktor Hammarberg, Mélanie Courtinat, GRIF Studio and many more.
