Marvin Kren: Cinematic Mastermind.
Marvin Kren, studied directing at the Hamburg Media School and has worked in camera, directing, and acting since 2000. His graduation film SCHAUTAG won the Max Ophüls Short Film Award in 2009, followed by RAMMBOCK in 2010, which also earned him the Max Ophüls and Viennale Film Prize.
His horror film BLUTGLETSCHER premiered at TIFF 2012. After directing Tatort episodes and the award-winning BERLIN 1, he helmed the first season of 4 BLOCKS in 2016, winning the Grimme and German Television Awards for Best Director.
In 2019, Marvin created the Netflix/ORF series FREUD, winning Best Director at the New York TV and Film Awards. He later directed DER WEISSE KOBOLD, which won a Romy for Best TV Film, and is currently working on the Netflix series CROOKS.
Marvin will speak at the Forward Festival Vienna in October. Next to him, you will be able to hear Creatives like Loulou João, Daniel Triendl, Birgit Palma and many more.
