Paula Scher
Designer, advocate and teacher – Does Paulas day really only have 24 hours?
Paula has been the first female principal in the New York office of the distinguished international design consultancy Pentagram since 1991. She is among the most successful designers of her generation. She cut a path for herself through the billboard-jungle of Pop, creating an approach to design that is open to influences yet decisively individualistic. Through her visual work as well as her generous efforts within her profession as a teacher, advocate, and agitator, she has helped put an intelligent face on the field of graphic design.
She is an established artist exhibiting worldwide, and her designs are in the permanent collections of numberous museums and institutions. A documentary on Scher and her work can be seen in the Netflix series “Abstract: The Art of Design.”
