There are plenty of generative AI tools. And they are awesome for unspecific images. But images with very specific details are often a matter of luck.

In this workshop, we’ll explore workflows for art direction with maximum control on generative AI. To get the images you want. Reliable, not random.

1. Fight FOMO.
A short primer of generative AI and market overview of current imaging tools in spring 2024. What to you use when? How do you use them as a designer? And what to expect from AI video tools this year?

2. Walk through.
We start with a gentle stroll through latent space in the latest version of the Stable Diffusion architecture. Let’s also discuss the fine art of prompting along the way. Different writing styles for different AI tools. Data defines syntax.

3. Take control.
We’ll deep dive into various workflows for detailed and controlled Art Direction on AI using ControlNets, multiple LoRAs and training your own AI models. And explore AI tool chains combining the best of worlds from Adobe, Midjourney, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion and others.
